Year 6 Responsibilities

At Gracefield School, we believe it is important to give our children responsibility to prepare them for secondary school and the wider world. In Year 6 we award our children a ‘Post of Responsibility’ in recognition of their hard work and maturity.

The Year 6 children write a formal, handwritten letter to the Headteacher to apply for a position and then an informal interview is held with each child. There are a range of different positions awarded, including Head and Deputy Head Girl/Boy.
